SPECIAL GIFT REQUEST: Last year (2016) our Budget ended with a ($11,209.00) deficit, which was covered by FUMC’s Cash Reserve. This year (2017) the Budget had a faith factor of $4,649.00 which we adjusted in March 2017, as we could see that we would not make it up, which zeroed out the Cash Reserve account. As of 8/13/17 we now have a deficit of ($12,319.00), which the Finance Committee feels should be addressed now. As of 8/13/17, we budgeted $199,451.00 giving units; however, we only received $191,214.00, short $8,237.00, which is the largest part of our shortfall. To try to correct the shortfall, we are asking each family, if possible, to give a special gift of $100.00 to decrease our deficit. Funds will be used for operating expenses only. “Special Gift BUDGET 2017” envelopes will be enclosed in your bulletin. If you have any questions feel free to call me at the church at 315-637-4413. Thank you, Linda Saunders, FUMC Treasurer
